We are proud to announce that UKAS, the world’s leading accreditation body, is the 2020 International Quality Awards headline partner.

A strong advocate for quality improvement globally, The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom. UKAS is recognised and appointed by government to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.

The International Quality Awards, taking place virtually on Wednesday 18 November, recognise and celebrate the achievements of exceptional quality and auditing professionals from across the globe. The awards align with UKAS’s principles, focusing on embedding quality management into every organisation, through the key pillars of strong governance, robust systems of assurance, and continuous improvement.

UKAS is proud to sponsor the 2020 International Quality Awards as we come together to celebrate the individuals and organisations driving exceptional quality the world over.

Matt Gantley, CEO at UKAS, said: “UKAS is proud to sponsor the 2020 International Quality Awards as we come together to celebrate the individuals and organisations driving exceptional quality the world over. In a time when quality becomes more important than ever, it is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the role of the UK Quality Infrastructure to underpin confidence and assurance across the economic spectrum.”

Vincent Desmond, CEO at the Chartered Quality Institute, welcomed the partnership. He commented: “I am delighted that UKAS has chosen to be Headline Partner for the 2020 International Quality Awards. UKAS shares our vision in promoting the value of quality management to support competitiveness and customer confidence. It is great to have our national accreditation body and chartered professional body for quality working together through these awards to recognise, celebrate and promote the achievements of exemplar organisations, teams and individuals.”

About the CQI

The CQI is a chartered membership body for quality professionals. We help organisations to improve their performance through quality management.

As a registered charity, our overall purpose is to benefit society by promoting quality management in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

We support organisations to build a culture of governance (having the right operational frameworks, policies, processes and plans), assurance (effectively implementing policies, processes and plans) and improvement (evaluating and learning to work more effectively and efficiently). This helps to enhance reputation, increase profitability and create greater value for stakeholders.

We are the only professional body dedicated to governance, assurance and improvement.
