Caroline Wadham reveals the most common questions and requests our Member Journey team receive from IRCA members.
The Member Journey Team are available for any question you may have, from when you pay your first annual fee to retirement, but before you reach for your phone here are some frequently asked questions:
1. I haven’t received my certification card.
We ship certification cards far and wide, as a result it may take a while for the cards to arrive. For cards within Europe, it should take a maximum of 2-4 weeks. If you are further afield, it can take up to six weeks. Cards are posted by standard postage, so we are not able to track them, but if you don’t receive your card within the allocated time, get in touch and we will send it by tracked postage free of charge.
2. Transition.
With the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) transition deadlines fast approaching and the announcement of migration training for ISO 45001, much of our email inbox is comprised of transition emails, below are two commonly asked questions:
Q: Which course should I do?
A: At present we only accept IRCA Certified Training, which can be found through the training page on our website. Alternatives are being looked at and the aim is to make our members aware of it. If you are unsure whether your course is IRCA Certified, it is best to get in touch with the course provider. The majority of IRCA approved training will also have an IRCA logo on the certificate.
Q: I can’t take an IRCA course by the deadline, what do I do?
A: We are currently looking at alternative routes our members can take, which we will make members aware of in advance of the deadline.
3. I wish to pay my fees but I am due to recertify.
Every five years we ask IRCA Certified Auditors of any grade to submit recertification documents to demonstrate they are maintaining their certification. Once this has been approved, you will then be issued with an annual fee. The documents and requirements can be found on the recertification page of our website.
