2020 International Quality Awards Case Studies

The CQI has produced a series of best practice case studies for our members that are now available for you to download in the reports section of our Members' Area. These are based on entries from winners and finalists at the 2020 International Quality Awards, including submissions from Capella, Ferrovial, Qatargas, Dubai Police, BAM Nuttall, Jacobs and more.

The case studies demonstrate exactly what makes these organisations stand out when it comes to innovation, competitiveness, and diversification in the field of quality. Below you have access to two of the case studies from:

  • Jacobs - Winners of the Quality Organisation of the Year award

  • Ferrovial - Finalist for the Quality Team of the Year award

Jacobs

In this case study, we take a look at Jacob's submission for the Quality Organisation of the Year award. Their entry focussed on how they used quality to drive strategic transformation and achieve social impact.

When you set out to change your own organisation you have to look at your public statements. Jacobs’ strapline is: ‘Challenging today. Reinventing tomorrow.’ This is a clear commitment to raising the bar in everything they do. This has to be reflected in the internal changes that are made and how they are deployed.

“As part of its drive to have an effective quality culture, Jacobs revised and refreshed its internal awards programme to promote excellence in all the company’s activities.”

The Ferrovial Construction Q6 Heathrow Project Team (Q6 team) exists to deliver London’s Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) Q6 capital works investment programme. Heathrow were looking for maximised efficiency in its capital expenditure, through early contractor involvement (ECI) and designs for optimum, whole-life operating expenditure value.
